Tlaquepaque (the spelling in my diary was the best I could do phonetically) is a close-in suburb of Guadalajara, well known for pottery and glass. And we saw both being made. I have always been a sucker for glass blowing demonstrations. I might have developed the taste for it here, but I think it was earlier. Our "practice trip" the previous year included a tour of the Corning Glass Works, and I believe they had a glass blowing exhibition.
