For those who don't know, Pancho Villa was an important Mexican revolutionary leader. Due to some raids near the US border, the American government considered him a bandit and actually sent military parties into Mexico to capture him. (They never did.)

Mr Miller claimed to have been a friend of Pancho Villa, and gave me a photo of himself and the Mexican. (I believed it at the time. I have since had my doubts about its authenticity. But maybe so; it does look like the pictures I have seen.) I know the photo got back home with me, and was in my photo album. Alas, it was not to be found for the past several decades; its spot in the album is empty.
