Meat packer and museum

It took me a while -- and a reading of my text -- to figure out what my drawing represented. There is a coal miner in the middle, with a lighted helmet. On the left is an explosion, digging the mine deeper. On the right are narrow-gauge hopper cars filled with coal.

The museum with the coal mine was the Museum of Science and Industry, one of my three favorite museums. I'm sure it was a favorite for all three of us. Ruth says the same thing, citing, "you could press buttons and turn handles to make exhibits move, make sounds, etc." (My others favorites are the Franklin Institute and in Philadephia and the Museum of Natural History in NY.)

The Swifts Meat tour had more of an impact on me than the diary shows. It was close to a week before I would again eat meat of any kind.
